About Us

The Southeast Wisconsin Festival of Books is an annual community celebration of literacy and the arts, where local and national authors and readers of all ages come together to enjoy presentations, performances, creativity, and conversation.

This is a free community-wide event which is organized by the UWM at Waukesha Foundation in cooperation with community groups that include the Bridges Library System, All Writers’ Workplace, and Wisconsin Public Radio. The Festival is held the first weekend in November, unless otherwise noted, at the UWM at Waukesha.

The Southeast Wisconsin Festival of Books would not be possible without generous donors, sponsors and friends of our organization. We are always seeking volunteers to join us in our pursuit.
